You don’t have to travel far from Tokyo’s city-center to enjoy picking delicious, locally-grown fruit! Kodaira was the first location in Japan to cultivate blueberries and is only 30 minutes from Shinjuku. Kodaira farmers have been passionately growing blueberries for generations. Blueberries in Kodaira are carefully cultivated to be incredibly sweet and delicious. A variety of blueberries are grown, making it possible to enjoy blueberries picking all summer long! Other fruit can also be picked through the year such as pears and kiwifruits. Come experience the deliciousness of fresh, locally-grown Kodaira fruit!
Misono Fruits Farm
Misono Fruits Farm grows both Highbush blueberries (June) and Rabbiteye blueberries (July – August), making it possible to pick blueberries almost all summer long. Misono Fruits Farm also offers other U-pick fruits, such as kiwifruits and pears. No reservation is needed if you aren’t going in a large group.
Open: Monday – Saturday 9:00 – 17:00. Closed every Sunday.

Ben’s Farm
Ben’s Farm is another place in Kodaira where you can enjoy U-pick blueberries. The owners also run a café onsite where they serve delicious food and beverages! They even provide fresh blueberry juice.
Hours: Tuesday – Friday 10:00 – 15:00. Closed on Mondays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
